Editors Letter – Issue 18 – Shine.
Welcome to our new issue in which we have metaphorically come of age with this, our 18th issue! When we started the magazine in 2016, one of our main aims was to give an outlet for our contemporaries to show their work and creativity. Put another way, it was a way to let others shine. And so, we have used that word as our springboard theme for this issue: SHINE.
In the issue, we have our usual (but really exceptional) blend of fashion, beauty, travel, and interviews. As well as catching up with our cover star the actor Ellie Bamber, we go camel trekking in India and talk to fine artist Alexis Soul Grey about her beautiful, haunting work. We also get chatting with two very contrasting fashion labels who are both out to change the way we consume clothes for the ethical better.
Since our conception, the world seems to have changed so dramatically, in ways that are only too obvious so it’s redundant for us to mention them here. But our core objectives are still the same, to inform, to inspire, to foster creativity, and to let others shine.
We hope you enjoy this issue as makes your life a little brighter and shinier for the time you spend with us!
