Consciously Luxurious
Make finds out about Maiyet Collective, a new ‘pop up’ shop to open in Bicester Village in Oxfordshire. It celebrates and champion’s luxury fashion with proper ethical credentials.
Founded by Paul van Zyl, Maiyet Collective aims to teach the true value of fashion. Van Zyl is also a dedicated Human Rights campaigner and founder of The Conduit, a sustainable members’ club in London as a meeting place for those passionate about positive social and environmental change.
Paul Van Zyl comments: “The future of fashion will require the perfect blend of ethics, desire, design and sustainability. The Maiyet Collective at Bicester will blend these imperatives and offer the largest collection of ethical and sustainable brands under one roof. This unique offering will offer shoppers an unparalleled opportunity to look great while supporting ethical brands”
The pop-up will bring together a rotating curation of about forty designers, each one dedicated to changing the way the world perceives, creates and consumes luxury fashion. At Make Magazine we are looking forward to this collaboration and hope that this further continues the conversation about sustainability in luxury fashion, proving that you don’t have to compromise on style or ethics.
Bicester Village is open until 9pm from Monday to Saturday, and until 7pm on Sunday, until the end of December 2019.
