Hello again!
Now we are twenty-one! Should we put our wild youth behind us and finally grow up? Perhaps, as a final nod to our rebellious past, we are calling this edition The Rebel Issue.
That said, rebellion does not always have to shout to make itself heard. Launching and sustaining a 100% editorial magazine in the current economic climate could be considered an act of rebellion in itself. In this issue, we celebrate anything that subtly subverts the ordinary to inspire insight, creativity and discovery.
As always, we bring together a blend of fashion, beauty and travel — from the wild beauty of the Azores to a make-up story inspired by handbags. We explore a new book by Belgian photographer Harry Gruyaert, showcasing several decades of his work capturing New York City. We also speak to Chinese fashion designer Huishan Zhang about his creative process and the future of his eponymous brand and immerse ourselves in the youthful spirit of US label Mother Denim.
We will never stop being grateful for the generosity of our contributors and the extraordinary editorial imagery and stories they create for us to share. As always, our greatest admiration goes to those artistic, rebellious souls who simply cannot help but keep creating.
We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed making it.
